Our Views On Parenting

We want our child to be able to grow and develop talents in all different areas.  We will support our child in whatever hobbies they choose to pursue, whether it be playing soccer or playing the violin. We hope to expose them to a variety of different activities and allow them to choose which ones they enjoy and which ones will help them reach their full potential.
We think experiences and memories are more important than material belongings. The time you spend with your family is what stays with you and helps you grow as a person, not having the latest and greatest gadgets.  While we will always provide for the material needs of our family we hope to teach our child to value the immaterial things the most.  In experiencing the world around us we can grow closer as a family and have a better appreciation for the all the beauty this world has to offer.

We want our child to know the value of education.  We look forward to taking them to museums, galleries, historical sights as well as taking them to concerts, sports games, and celebrations.  We are excited to share our favorite books with our child and spend countless nights snuggled up in bed reading bedtime stories.  Succeeding in school leads to a successful life and we want to be active and involvved in our child's school.  Education will always be valued in our home.
It is important to us to have family home evening, daily prayer, and scripture study.  We want to take advantage of teaching opportunities that come up in unplanned moments when we are working or playing together.  We want our home to always be a place where our child can feel the Spirit and draw closer to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.  Faith, charity, hope, prayer, gratitude, and integrity will be taught in our home with other Gospel principles.
